Project manager for an assessment and strategy initiative.

Provided project management oversight to a program of four related projects focused at achieving process improvement, increased transparency, and improved accuracy via workflow automation, improved quality control/outcomes, enhanced print vendor integration, and enhanced customer communications. Due to the business cycle, each of these projects required quick strategy to implementation, requiring skilled consensus building of more than 10 functional areas across the organization, each with a separate agenda. Working closely with IT and the business, George developed the release management strategy to achieve maximum business value. Prior to the implementation phase of these projects, George and his team were retained to perform an assessment and to develop the five-year strategy, roadmap, and budget to ensure aggressive business goals were met.

Organizational change management and process redesign effort.

Retained to deliver change management and process redesign efforts for a newly rolled-out FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act) product, the growth of which had quickly surpassed the organization’s operational capacity. On this engagement, the client leveraged George’s project management, process redesign, product development, business analysis, and customer satisfaction management competencies. George was instrumental in developing, documenting, and implementing new processes relating to client reporting, customer service, issue/risk management, and relationship management.

Project management and process modeling for new product implementation.

Retained to provide program and project management expertise for a new innovative product implementation at one of the nation’s leading insurance firms for one of their Fortune 100 clients. This implementation involved various entities spanning domains such as insurance, re-insurance, health plans, tax law, financial regulation, and asset management.

Test manager for a multimillion dollar claims adjudication initiative.

Retained as the test manager of a legacy modernization of a pre-adjudication solution which will process more than one million claims daily from a variety of input sources/formats (ITS SF, 837P, 837I, 837D, 837Rx, paper, and proprietary) for a large nonprofit health insurer. Provided management and oversight of the success of six sub-teams comprised of more than 30 resources. George's teams were critical to the development and execution of software verification and validation (testing) efforts that allowed a smooth go-live deployment into production.

Project manager for a systems renovation resulting from a large-scale healthcare litigation.

Responsible for various work phases including: risk assessment, scope definition, requirements gathering, business requirement creation, and test case development. During this effort, managed a highly effective team of four resources and interfaced with project sponsors on a daily basis.

Business delivery manager for a large eligibility and billing conversion project.

Responsible for the business analysis/architecture of project, overseeing more than 35 business analysts and subject matter experts. Key responsibilities included planning and estimation of all business deliverables across all phases of the project, managing requirements gathering, documenting requirements, and obtaining business stakeholder approval.

Program manager for a digital strategy and transformation initiative at a leading media and entertainment firm.

Responsible for the governance and oversight of a portfolio of 62 projects spanning a five-year period. This portfolio had the intention of developing and implementing a digital strategy to migrate existing systems and processes to cutting edge technology, enabling the business to undergo a large transformation and to gain a competitive edge over its competition.
